TRIPLIXAM 10/2.5/10MG TABLETS 30`S

Triplixam is a combination of three active substances: perindopril, indapamide and amlodipine. It is an antihypertensive medicine used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension).

For patients already taking perindopril / indapamide in a fixed dose combination and amlodipine as separate tablets, Triplix, which contains the three active substances in the same dose, can be prescribed as a substitute.

All the active substances lower the blood pressure and together they allow the blood pressure to be regulated.

– Perindopril belongs to a group of medicines called agiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors. It works by dilating the blood vessels, making it easier for the heart to pump blood through them.

– Indapamide is a diuretic (belonging to a group of medicines called sulphonamide derivatives containing an indole ring). Diuretics increase the amount of urine produced by the kidneys. However, indapamide differs from other diuretics in that it only slightly increases urine output.

– Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker (belonging to a group of medicines called dihydropyridines). It works by relaxing the blood vessels so that blood can flow more easily through them.
